Last Night in Soho (2021) movie is a flashy thriller that is sure to evoke excitement and curiosity in every viewer. It stars Thomasin McKenzie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith. This thriller-suspense film depicts the fascinating story of the main character, Ellie, that defines a monstrous journey of a dreamy horror. The main setting is in modern and contemporary London where Ellie takes on her fashion studies. One night changes her life as it brings her to meet Sandy, a mysterious woman who then continues to appear in her dreams. Along with it are the peculiar plots she cannot understand, only realizing that she is living as Sandy in 1960s LondonAs Ellie is a sweet and innocent girl full of hopes, she gets fascinated by the exhilarating nature of Sandy who almost has a complete personality with her. As soon as she starts to love the world of Sandy, the question of “why” and “how” starts to surround her. It leaves her in the gaze of going back to her old self and old life as a series of unwanted and unfathomable circumstances began to emerge.
Last Night in Soho movie involves a psychopathic mystery that induces the terrifying storyline of Ellie’s dreams and who is the culprit of such enigmatic events. The unique and stylish plots and screenwriting of the film create a dazzling and stimulating experience.
What makes the film so engaging aside from the plots, settings, and talented writing skills is the suitable appropriation of character portrayal of the actors. Several superb performances are on show here and there is very little to dislike about this movie. It’s a must-watch!
