I think we’ve all lost count of the amount of movies Nicolas Cage has been in. Some were brilliant and some were terrible! The Trust is a crime/thriller movie directed by Ben Brewer and Alex Brewer, and Nicolas Cage stars as the lead character. The movie was set and filmed entirely in Las Vegas.

The Trust is about two corrupt policemen who discover a drug dealer’s building where a vault is located and believed to be filled with money, drugs or other high value gems. The two dodgy cops then start plotting to rob vault together.

Nicolas Cage in the movie The Trust plays the lead role as Jim Stone while Elijah Wood plays the co-lead younger cop David Waters. Both characters were bored and disillusioned with their work, that is why they decide to rob the drug dealer’s vault. The task proves to be much more difficult than first thought. Cage’s character shows greed and rage, while Wood’s character portrays guilt and empathy for their hostage.

Both lead actors perform and act well in this film. Their chemistry is solid and undeniable. If there is bad acting in the movie, it would be from some of the supporting characters.

The Trust is enjoyable to watch, engaging, and has a dark and interesting plot. I also loved how well Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood act together and make the movie fun and dark at the same time.
