1998 (1h 42min)

This action/comedy movie stars Harrison Ford as Quinn and Anne Heche as Robin, it was a moderately popular box office success.
At the start of this movie we meet Robin: a young, professional New Yorkian. She is an editor for a fashion magazine and very dedicated to her career. Her boyfriend, Frank Martin (David Schwimmer), decides to surprise her with a romantic vacation to Makatea in the South Pacific…the last leg of the trip there is on a dilapidated plane flown by an old American pilot named Quinn, who is with his much younger girlfriend Angelica.
Quinn proves himself to be gruff, aloof and annoying: he quickly earns Robin’s dislike after he unsuccessfully tries to hit on her when he is drunk… right after Robin accepted her boyfriend’s proposal!
Next morning, Robin gets an emergency call from work and decides she must go. She will be supervising a fashion shoot, so she hires Quinn to fly her back. However, disaster strikes: a sudden thunderstorm makes them crash on a deserted island.
Robin and Quinn need to put their mutual dislike aside and work together to escape the dangers of the island and get back home… after both their partners thought them to be dead.
Harrison Form delivers a good performance in this movie. It seems he can play this type of character in his sleep! Heche’s performance as Robin is also excellent. She takes on her role as a career woman very seriously and carries her role to perfection. Their chemistry on screen is great and allows us to predict what is going to happen as the movie goes on. Their strong distrust and dislike are just a cover for their mutual attraction that develops as the movie goes on.
